As HydroSeal HF exhibits high flexibility it could be used to do waterproofing on the screws, joints, overlaps and ridging where extreme movement is expected especially on metal roofs, and due to its durability, double up as a roof paint.
The concrete slab provided as a Sport Court was extremely dusty and had no bonding up to 3mm in depth. The surface had zero penetrating ability or adhesion. The slab was sprayed with water over a period to ensure the surface is properly wetted. Excess water ponding was removed. Penetrar was diluted 1:7 and applied 6 times before proper bonding took place. Once the layers had cured the slab was stable and the surface strength was increased. No further crumbling or dustiness was visible, and the application of paint could commence. The project proved successful as no further delamination of the paint layer took place.
It is recommended that Penetrar be used as a primer or bonding agent in all SealPro’s application systems. Before using Penetrar ensure the substrate is wetted and dries to a damp state. Remove ponding water on flat surfaces.
Inferior plaster work will be enhanced and strengthened by applying Penetrar. The number of layers and the dilution ratio will be at the discretion of the applicator. It is vital that proper penetration is achieved and that Penetrar does not film form over the substrate.
Using Penetrar on concrete proves successful to enhance strength and increasing the adhesion capability of the waterproofing or paint system.
