Our Expert Torch-On Roof Replacement / Renew Process

SealPro Coatings follows a meticulous five-step process to replace your torch-on waterproofing system with the Armtec HyperFlex waterproofing system, ensuring a robust, long-lasting seal:

1. Surface Cleaning and Preparation

We ensure the existing torch-on roof is clean and dry, removing dirt, dust, and debris through sweeping or high-pressure washing. This step prepares the surface for the new waterproofing system and identifies any damaged areas needing reinforcement.

2. Reinforcing Overlaps and Damaged Sections

Overlaps, joints, and damaged sections of the old torch-on membrane are strengthened with the StretchSeal Flex system. We apply a layer of Flex waterproofing, embed StretchSeal membrane, and saturate it with another coat of Flex, creating a durable seal that integrates with the new system.

3. Embedding Armtec Mesh with HyperFlex

We roll out Armtec Mesh, a specially coated glass fibre mesh, and shape it to fit the roof section. HyperFlex, a flexible cementitious fibre-reinforced acrylic emulsion, is applied over the mesh, pressed down to penetrate fully, forming a seamless, crack-resistant primary waterproofing layer directly over the torch-on system.

4. Strengthening Critical Areas

Critical stress points, such as turn-ups, internal corners, and full-bore outlets, are reinforced with the StretchSeal Flex system. We embed StretchSeal membrane with Flex to ensure watertight seals at drainage points and parapet wall junctions, enhancing the new system’s reliability.
