1/ CONCRETE SLAB COVERED WITH TORCH-ON
Ponding water is one of the biggest downfalls of torch-on systems besides the point that it is not n fully bonded system, it is not seamless and it is not eco-friendly. Alternative waterproofing systems like the ArmTec HyperFlex system opens the market to alternatives. Preparing to apply the ArmTec HyperFlex system. Make sure the surface is clean and free from debris. Delaminated sections should be removed. Use SealPro PoSi Screed to correct levels before applying the Armtec HyperFlex System.
2/ MEMBRANE - ARMTEC MESH
The ArmTec coated fiber glass mesh is used as reinforcement for the liquid applied waterproofing systems. It is used to strengthen the acrylic membrane and help absorb movement in the substrate and improve the performance of surfaces subjected to foot traffic.
3/ BINDER/FILLER – HYPERFLEX
For high mechanical resistance HyperFlex is applied in combination with coated ArmTec fibreglass mesh to help absorb movement in new and previously sealed slabs, to bridge cracks and to join different materials. HyperFlex also has excellent adhesion to torch-on and previously sealed slabs.
4-5/ WATERPROOFING - HYDROSEAL HF
Apply 2 to 3 layers of HydroSeal HF over the entire concrete roof slab. HydroSeal HF is a co-polymer, high-performance universal waterproofing membrane.
6/ FINAL COAT - HYDROSEAL
Depending on the use of the slab, different topcoats are available. For foot traffic HydroSeal is applied, for under tile application DampEnd can be applied, or it can be painted to match building colours.
