COMPOSITION OF THE STRETCHSEAL FLEX WATERPROOFING SYSTEM

1/ ROOF TILES / SHEETING

The StretchSeal Flex Waterproofing System is a revolutionary, highly elastic membrane designed to protect tile and metal roofs from water damage. With its exceptional flexibility, UV resistance, and ease of application, it provides a seamless, long-lasting waterproof barrier that adapts to roof movement and withstands extreme weather conditions. Ideal for ridges, joints, screw lines, parapet walls, copings and renovation projects, StretchSeal ensures reliable protection for both residential and commercial properties.

2/ PRIMER - PENETRAR / REPELLO

For enhanced adhesion, a specialised primer such as Penetrar (Tile/Concrete) or Repello (Metal) can be applied. This step helps bind any residual dust and creates a stronger bond between the StretchSeal membrane and the roof surface.

3/ ADHISION BASE - FLEX

The Flex coating is evenly applied to the prepared roof surface, creating a smooth base for the StretchSeal membrane.

4/ MEMBRANE - STRETCHSEAL

The StretchSeal membrane is then carefully laid over the coated area and lightly pressed into place. Engineered to reinforce and extend the lifespan of waterproofing systems, this lightweight yet robust membrane integrates seamlessly with the liquid waterproofing coating.

5/ WATERPROOFING TOP COAT - FLEX

To fully embed the membrane, it is overcoated with two additional layers of Flex, ensuring a seamless and durable waterproof barrier. In the case of no painting done as final application on the roof it is advisable to overcoat the system with HydroSeal HF.

TILE ROOFS

In a residential setting, the StretchSeal Flex System can be used to waterproof older tile roofs that may have developed cracks or gaps over time. Areas like roof ridges, flashing and valleys can all be waterproofed by this system. Its elasticity accommodates the roof's expansion and contraction, preventing future leaks.

METAL ROOFS

For commercial buildings with metal roofs, the StretchSeal Flex System provides an effective solution for sealing joints, overlaps and fasteners, and common points of water entry. The UV-resistant properties of the membrane also help protect the roof from sun damage.

ARMTEC HYPERFLEX

The StretchSeal Flex System is a supporting step for the ArmTec HyperFlex Waterproofing system. Installed over settlement cracks and joining sections of torchon the StretchSeal Flex System’s ability to stretch significantly allows it to accommodate the movement in these substrates without cracking or peeling.

ScrewSeal Patches were used with the StretchSeal Flex waterproofing System to seal roof fastener caps before painting the roof. The StretchSeal Flex System can be applied directly to the roof surface, simplifying the installation process and reducing labour costs.

The StretchSeal Flex System was used to waterproof and renew roof ridges. Once done the system was overcoated with roof paint to match the roof tiles and protect the system from UV. This waterproofing system is compatible with a wide range of substrates, including various types of tile and metal materials.

Torchon Maintenance

Renew or maintain your current waterproofing system without removing it. The Armtec Renew system has excellent adhesion and can be applied directly over existing waterproofing systems. The Armtec Renew system can be applied directly onto bituminous substrates or existing torchon membrane. Surface will not delaminate when correct application procedures has been adhered to.

Roof Slab Waterproofing

The seamless eco-friendly concrete roof slab waterproofing system from SealPro Coatings can be installed on new and existing roof slabs.
