Pittura High Gloss Roof and Metal Paint is an acrylic water-based “metal roof paint” with a toughened high gloss finish that will not crack, peel, or fade when properly applied. It has superior weather resistance and colour retention coating that significantly reduces dirt accumulation, pollution and chemical attack. Pittura features excellent adhesion and can be applied to both flat & sloped surfaces. It was specifically designed for coating metal surfaces and is ideal for new primed metal or previously painted surfaces, such as exterior roofs, galvanised iron, gutters, doors, balustrades, frames, windows, palisades & industrial equipment.

Usage

Pittura is used as a protective coating on metal surfaces and can be brushed, rolled or sprayed offering long-term protection in the harsh South African climate.

Can be applied to galvanised iron, metal roof surfaces and trims such as gutters, doors, balustrades, frames & windows.

Metal structures such as carports, commercial buildings and manufacturing plants.

Can also be applied to palisades, structural metals & industrial equipment.

HOW IT WORKS

HIGHLY DURABLE GLOSS METAL PAINT

Pittura is a specially formulated copolymer emulsion that is UV stable, colourfast, and designed specifically for the application to metal surfaces. Pittura is a full acrylic-based product that resembles an enamel and can be applied as a paint-on-system or sprayed by an airless spray machine.

The coating at the specified 100 – 120 mic DFT has less than 5% water uptake over a 14 Day period in a ponding scenario. It is used as an acrylic roof paint or metal surfaces coating.

The Pittura Range falls into a gloss category. The reason is that Pittura forms a much “harder” film that does not allow for dust entrapment. Mostly applied to metal roofs means that in most cases the gradient is extremely low and therefore dust will settle but needs to be removed with stormwater or rain. Metal structures such as carports, commercial buildings and manufacturing plants will be ideal for the application of Pittura.

PITTURA ROOF PAINT APPLIED TO COMMERCIAL BUILDING

Pittura was used to coat the roof sheeting of a commercial building in Centurion. The IBR roof sheeting was first properly prepared and waterproofed before being rust converted, primed and painted with Pittura roof paint.

PITTURA PAINT ON STRUCTURAL BEAMS

Structural beams inside a pig house at Magaliesburg were coated with Pittura to protect it from rust and ammoniac vapour. All metal surfaces were properly prepared, with rusted sections coated with Refferro, primed with a metal edge primer and coated with Pittura.
