Revitalising a Key Commercial Roof with ArmTec HyperFlex

SEESA – Erasmus St, Meyers Park, Pretoria, 0184 – 1300 sqm

For the prestigious SEESA facility in Meyers Park, Pretoria, EcoSeal delivered a landmark waterproofing project, showcasing our expertise in tackling complex flat concrete roof challenges with precision and innovation.

Roof Slab Assessment and Diagnosis: Our initial inspection revealed significant issues with the existing waterproofing system. Delamination and cracking were evident across multiple areas, with severe deterioration at joints, leading to seam separation. Inadequate drainage, caused by improperly positioned outlets, resulted in water pooling, exacerbating waterproofing failures. Additionally, the system lacked UV protection, and visible cracks marred the parapet walls, compromising structural integrity.

Remedial Action: Our skilled team implemented a tailored solution. We began by correcting drainage issues, lowering and repositioning outlets to ensure efficient water flow and eliminate pooling. Cracks and delaminated joints were reinforced with the StretchSeal membrane system for robust sealing. The core of the project utilised the ArmTec HyperFlex waterproofing system, applied seamlessly to restore the roof slab’s integrity. This advanced system, featuring HydroSeal HF topcoat, provided a UV-stable, weather-resistant finish, ensuring long-term durability and protection against South Africa’s harsh climate.

The SEESA project exemplifies EcoSeal’ commitment to delivering superior waterproofing solutions, transforming vulnerable roofs into durable, high-performance assets with unmatched quality and care.
