UltraBond WP can be applied to virtually any construction surface including existing tiles, torch-on membranes, bitumen, beachamin, previously sealed slabs, painted and coated walls, glass, wood and metal. If adhesion on a surface is in doubt — apply UltraBond WP first.

No. UltraBond WP does not require grinding, chipping or mechanical profiling on any surface. The substrate must be clean, dry and free from dust, grease and loose particles. For dusty or friable surfaces, apply SealPro Penetrar first to bind the surface before applying UltraBond WP.

UltraBond WP is applied in a single coat by brush. Once mixed, the full batch must be used immediately as the product begins to cure from the moment the two components are combined.

Yes. Once fully cured, UltraBond WP provides a tile-ready cementitious surface that standard tile adhesive bonds to directly — no additional primer or bond coat required.

Yes. UltraBond WP is ideal for showers and wet rooms. The recommended approach is to install the ArmTec HyperFlex waterproofing system on the floor first, then apply UltraBond WP over both the floor and all wall sections to be tiled — waterproofing the entire wet area and creating a unified tile-ready surface across floor and walls in a single step.

UltraBond WP is the approved topcoat in the ArmTec HyperFlex system. Applied as the final layer over the HydroSeal HF base coats, it creates the flexible cementitious surface that tiles bond to directly — completing the system and making it tile-ready without any additional preparation.

Yes. BondPro is water-based, non-flammable, virtually odourless, and has a VOC content below 1%. It is completely safe to use indoors on occupied residential and commercial properties without ventilation requirements, fire precautions, or disruption to occupants.

Yes. UltraBond WP bonds directly to existing glazed and unglazed tiles, creating a fresh cementitious bonding surface that standard tile adhesive grips. New tiles can be installed directly over UltraBond WP — no tile removal, no chipping, no grinding required.

Yes. UltraBond WP seals and primes bitumen and beachamin surfaces, preventing bleed-through and creating a stable cementitious surface that paint and coatings bond to cleanly — without specialist bitumen-blocking primers.

Yes. UltraBond WP forms a flexible waterproof membrane once cured that resists both positive and negative hydrostatic pressure. It can be used as a standalone waterproof barrier coating on walls, shower surrounds and damp repair applications.

Yes. UltraBond WP is non-toxic and contains no harmful chemicals. It is safe for use in confined interior spaces without specialist ventilation or site clearance, and is aqua-life safe once cured.

Penetrar is a liquid primer used to bind dusty and friable surfaces before applying a coating or system. UltraBond WP is a two-part cementitious waterproof slurry that primes, bonds and waterproofs the substrate in a single application. On dusty or friable surfaces, Penetrar is applied first to stabilise the surface before UltraBond WP is applied over it.
