Repello is a styrene-acrylic polymer admixture for cement-based mixes. Add it to mortars, plasters, screeds and repair mixes, and the polymer binds into the cement as it sets: the mix grips the surface better, takes knocks better and lets less water through.

Using it is simple. Wherever the mix calls for water, replace half of it with Repello. One part water becomes half water, half Repello.

Plasters and Renders Wall plaster that needs a good grip on brick, block and concrete, inside and out.

HOW IT WORKS

A POLYMER THAT BINDS INTO THE CEMENT

A plain sand-and-cement mix is strong in compression but brittle: it cracks under knocks, can lose its grip on the surface underneath, and soaks up water.

Repello is a styrene-acrylic copolymer emulsion. Mixed in with the water, it spreads through the mix and binds into the cement as it sets. The result is a more resilient mix that bonds better to the surface it is applied to, handles knocks better, and resists water better than the same mix without it.

GETTING STARTED

PREPARATION & MIXING

Surface Preparation

The cause of most coating failures is poor surface preparation.

Clean: remove all dust, oil, grease, paint and loose or crumbling material from the surface.
Make it sound: cut back broken or weak concrete and plaster to a solid base.
Check the job: Repello is for mortars, plasters, screeds and repair mixes, not for poured structural concrete. It gives no benefit on bitumen, torch-on, or petrochemical and solvent-based surfaces.

Application Instructions

Stir Repello well before use.
Replace half the mixing water with Repello: half water, half Repello.
Blend the Repello and water first, then add to the dry mix.
Mix to the normal consistency and apply as usual.
Protect fresh work from rain and fast drying.

Repello is an admixture. How the finished mortar, plaster or screed performs depends on the mix, the materials, the workmanship and the curing conditions, all of which are outside SealPro's control. SealPro does not offer a guarantee on Repello.
