GETTING STARTED

PREPARATION & APPLICATION

Surface Preparation

CRITICAL: Most coating failures occur due to inadequate surface preparation. Follow these steps carefully:

Cleaning: Thoroughly wash all surfaces using high-pressure water and scrubbing. Remove all loose particles, flaking paint, oils, grease, dirt, and debris that could compromise adhesion.
Drying: Ensure the surface is completely dry before application. This may require several sunny days – patience is essential. Do not rush this step.
Debris Removal: Sweep away all loose dust and debris immediately before coating application.
Rust Treatment: For heavily rusted surfaces, treat with appropriate rust converter or remove loose rust before priming.

Priming & Bonding

For optimal results and maximum adhesion, use SealPro complementary primers:

PURPLE PRIME - Essential for all bare metal surfaces, galvanized iron, and Chromadek. Provides rust inhibition and superior adhesion for the Cool Roof topcoat.

PENETRAR - For porous or unsealed surfaces including concrete, cementitious tiles, or areas requiring extra stabilization.

Note: Priming all surfaces with complementary SealPro products ensures a stable, long-lasting finish and optimal performance of your Cool Roof system.

Application Instructions

Stir Thoroughly: Mix contents completely before use. Do not dilute.
Apply First Coat: Use roller, brush, or spray equipment to apply an even coat across the entire surface. Work in sections for best results.
Drying Time: Allow 1-2 hours drying time between coats (longer in humid conditions).
Apply Second Coat: For maximum heat reflection and protection, apply a second coat following the same method.
Curing: Allow full curing time before exposing to rain or heavy weather. Avoid foot traffic for 24-48 hours.
