The coated fibreglass reinforcing mesh is the structural backbone of the ArmTec HyperFlex system. It is rolled out and shaped to fit the entire surface being waterproofed — absorbing substrate movement, bridging cracks and improving the performance of surfaces subjected to foot traffic. The mesh is not adhesive and requires HyperFlex to embed it to the substrate.
HyperFlex is the binder and embedding agent that secures the ArmTec mesh to the substrate. Applied in one coat directly over the mesh, it is pressed down to penetrate completely through the mesh and bond it permanently to the surface. HyperFlex also has excellent adhesion to torch-on and previously sealed slabs, and is used to fill cavities and low-lying spots before the mesh is overcoated with HydroSeal HF.
All corners, turnups and outlet areas are structurally reinforced before the HydroSeal HF top coat is applied. StretchSeal membrane is cut to size and embedded onto these specific areas using HydroSeal HF — creating a flexible, reinforced seal at every vulnerable structural detail where movement and water pressure are greatest.
Two coats of HydroSeal HF are applied over the entire embedded mesh system as the final waterproof membrane. HydroSeal HF is a high-performance, polymer-blended liquid rubber coating that forms a seamless, flexible waterproof barrier — UV stable, weather resistant and fully bonded to the substrate. The first coat is applied once the system is touch dry and walkable. The final topcoat is applied once the first coat is completely dry.
