Garden Route roofs fight a different war: salt-laden air, months of wind-driven rain, and coastal humidity that corrodes metal and grows mould on porous tiles. My tile roof is faded but not leaking. Why paint it now?
Faded, chalking paint means the tiles are already absorbing water — leaks come next, usually through ridges the salt damp loosened. Restoring before it leaks costs a fraction of restoring it plus the ceilings afterwards.
What makes this different from a normal roof painter’s quote?
